Returning Home to KER
As part of an exciting new chapter for Kentucky Equine Research, two of our much-loved feeds, Low GI Cube™ and Stud Balancer®, are returning to their roots under the KER Targeted Nutrition brand alongside All-Phase®.
This represents an extension of our new brand partnership with The Hygain Group, under which the feeds will now be manufactured at their specialised, state-of-the-art equine-only feed mill.
While this transition will showcase a new look, your horse’s wellbeing and consistent nutrition remain our priority, and what’s inside will stay the same.

A new look is on the way
Low GI Cube™ is transitioning to a new pink and white bag, aligned with the KER Targeted Nutrition feed range.
Low GI Cube™ is a low-NSC, low-glycemic, fully fortified feed for performance and breeding horses in a highly palatable and convenient cube.
· Late October: Permanent new bags are expected to arrive.
· Until then: Initial production will use KER block-printed bags.
· Same formulation: We’re prioritising uninterrupted supply while the new packaging arrives.

Moving to bulk supply
Stud Balancer® is moving away from 20kg bags and will be available exclusively in 500kg bulk bags and bulk supply.
All-Phase® offers the ideal alternative for smaller operations, or contact our nutrition advice service to find a brand-partner feed that suits your needs.
Stud Balancer® is a scientifically formulated feed balancer designed to specifically meet the needs of breeding horses.

No packaging changes
All-Phase® will continue in its current bag, with zero change to its appearance.
All-Phase® is designed as an everyday, fully-fortified balancer pellet formulated to meet the nutritional needs of performance, breeding, growing, and spelling horses.
Use All-Phase® as an alternative to Stud Balancer if you are looking for a quality feed balancer available in 20kg bags.
What does ‘returning home’ mean?
KER Targeted Nutrition feeds Low GI Cube™ and Stud Balancer have always been formulated by the KER nutrition specialists, but have been available under a different brand name. They are now ‘returning home’ to the KER Targeted Nutrition brand, bringing these trusted products back under the brand that formulates them.
Have any ingredients or product formulations changed?
No. There are no changes to the ingredients or formulations. You can continue to rely on the same trusted, research-backed nutrition you know, now presented in a fresh new bag.
Will I still be able to buy the same products?
Yes. Low GI Cube™ will continue to be available in 20kg bags, 500kg bulka bags and bulk supply as usual.
Stud Balancer® will now be available in 500kg bulka bags and bulk supply only. For customers who require a 20kg bag, All-Phase® is the recommended alternative or contact our nutrition advice service to find a brand partner feed suitable for your needs.
When will the new bags be introduced?
The new bags are expected to arrive in October 2026. In the meantime, Low GI Cube™ will use KER block-printed bags to prioritise ongoing uninterrupted supply.
Will there be any interruptions or delays in supply?
No. We are putting your horse’s health and nutrition first and are prioritising uninterrupted supply before aesthetics, which is why Low GI Cube™ will initially be available in KER block-printed bags.
Who is manufacturing the feeds now?
KER Targeted Nutrition feeds will now be manufactured by The Hygain Group in their state-of-the-art equine-only, non-medicated feed mills.
What does the new partnership mean for the quality of the feeds?
The new venture means the KER Targeted Nutrition Feed range will now be manufactured exclusively in dedicated, equine-only, non-medicated feed mills. This provides an added level of confidence in the quality and integrity of our feeds, while helping to prevent cross-contamination with medications or ingredients intended for other farm animals.
